The Friday After: Day of Prayer and Evening Event

There will be a special faith event held tomorrow evening, Friday, May 29th at 7:00 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church in response to the recent decision by the California Supreme Court around Prop 8. Everyone is invited to attend; the congregation of Peace Lutheran Church and members of surrounding faith communities; people from every faith tradition; our gay and lesbian neighbors, and their friends, family, and all allies who stand with them in the pursuit of full equality. The church will be open from 10:00-4:00 tomorrow for anyone who wants to stop by. You may walk the labyrinth (a walking meditation will be provided), sit in the quiet stillness of the Peace Garden, light a candle in the sanctuary, or meet with one of our pastors who will be available throughout the day for any who wish prayer or would just like to spend a few minutes in conversation.
