Friends:

Love is our true destiny.  We do not find the meaning of life by ourselves alone.  We find it with another.

Annie Haines Memorial Service will be this Saturday at 1:00 pm.  If you would like to contribute to the reception (finger food or dessert) please do so.  Keep Annie’s family in your prayers.

May 2 will be our Fundraising Feast.  The menu of rare delights is yet a surprise.  Save the date.

A note from Emily:

Good to hear from you Steve! Thanks for the Ordination congratulations!

We have photos somewhere, but they have not made it from camera to computer yet. I will share with you an article that appeared in my home paper, The Lima News, because it has some nice photos: http://limaohio.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?avis=LI&date=20150204&category=NEWS&lopenr=302049916&Ref=AR

Always thinking of Peace! Being just outside NYC, there are a few things at St. Stephen’s here in Hicksville that are reminiscent of that community: many jazz lovers, artists, and actors!

Peace, Emily

First Friday Films is March 6 at 6:30 pm.

March 8 is Women’s International Day.

Join us for Taize Services at San Damiano throughout the Wednesdays of Lent at 7:00 pm.  A reception follows at 8 pm.  Gary and Drew will be the guest musicians.

Beth Chaim invites us to an Evening of Jewish Music and World Music – Friday, March 13, 2015. The Orpheus World Music Ensemble offers music and ritual from a variety of cultures including West Africa, Brazil and the Middle East, with a special emphasis on music from the Jewish Diaspora. They perform around the Bay Area and throughout Northern California. Their March 13th offering at Beth Chaim will be in two parts. The first half features all Jewish music (Ashkenazic, Sephardic, Mizrachi (Eastern), and two original pieces. The remainder of the evening will celebrate “world music” from East and West Africa, Brazil, and a taste of Salsa as well. There will be dancing and a few African lullabies to close the evening.

The members consist of Bruce  Silverman (director, drums, steel pans, steel  drums, percussion and vocals), Renee Benmeleh (co-director, vocals, drums, percussion), Rob Kelman (drums, recorder, percussion), Yari  Mander (drums, steel pan, vocals, percussion),  Brigid Kelly (vocals, drums, percussion), and Mark Benjamin (guitar, bass, mandolin, drums, vocals).

Lenten Blessings,

Pr. Steve
